LIBÉ RTY Stage in Pilsen brought music, debates and a celebration of freedom
Friday's program of the Liberation Festival in Pilsen was brought to life, among other things, with modern culture and exceptional energy on the LIBÉ RTY Stage. On May 1, the area near the Lokál under the Grand Theater was transformed into a vibrant center, where the Paměť národa organization in cooperation with the city of Pilsen offered visitors a day full of inspiration, a relaxed atmosphere, and great music. The entire event was carried out in the spirit of a friendly meeting of generations in the very heart of the city, and we bring you the first photos from this day. The program started with an afternoon discussion entitled "How much does freedom cost?", which opened up important questions about the values of today's world and personal sacrifices for the preservation of freedom. After this reflection, music took over the stage. The first wave of energy was pumped into the audience by the indie-rock trio The Polar Opposites, the recent winners of the Múza competition, who also presented samples from their upcoming debut. They were smoothly followed by the Steven's formation led by Štěpán Kordík. Their fusion of blues and rock underlined the relaxed mood of the early evening and confirmed why the band is reaping success on the domestic blues scene. As the sun set, the atmosphere intensified thanks to the emotional performance of Holy Fanda & The Reverends, whose "Americana" with banjo and organ gave the evening a unique sound. The highlight and modern highlight of the entire Friday program was the concert of the Prague band WYFE. The experienced musicians got the audience dancing with songs from their current album and closed the day with a modern rhythm.
