Happy 100th heavenly birthday to Mr. José Schindfessel of a member of the 17th Rifle Battalion, Belgian veteran, hero and liberator of Pilsen.

He was an active participant in the Belgian Resistance (Secret Army, A.S.). After the Battle of the Ardennes, he joined the American Army with the Belgian 17th Rifle Battalion. He was with the first troops to cross the Rhine on the pontoon bridge at Remagen.

He participated in the liberation of the concentration camp at Weissenfels and the city of Pilsen.

After the war he worked as a teacher, director of the psycho-medical-social center in Liege, continued his studies and became a renowned psychologist, psychotherapist and psychoanalyst.

He left us 8 years ago.

We will never forget!!!!
